Introduction
Pragyan rover of “Chandrayaan-3″ has amazingly confirmed the presene of Sulphur in the lunar surface area near ‘Shiv-shakti” point near south pole by using Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscope instrument.
Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscope (LIBS) instrument onboard the Rover performs first-ever in-situ measurements and confirms the presence of Sulphur (S) in the lunar surface near the south pole. Alongwith Sulphur Al, Ca, Fe, Cr, Ti, Mn, Si, and O are also detected, but discovery of Hydrogen is underway.

Lander Vikram and Rover Pragyan earlier tweeted that “We are in good health. Me and my friend Vikram Lander are in touch” via ISRO Insight. Alongwith it tweeted that “The best is coming soon and it was on its way to ‘uncover the secrets of the Moon”.
Chandrayaan-3 is only 14 days mission, which is equal to the one lunar day, so four days have been completed. ISRO said that ‘We are running against time’. We can do more scientific experiment and research in next 10 days and those days will be important.
Nilesh M Desai, Director, Space Applications Centre, told ANI on Sunday that, we have to do maximum work in 10 days. Within 10 days ISRO will working to cover a maximum distance of the undiscovered South pole through Pragyan rover.
There are three main objectives of the Chandrayaan-3 which are, first is soft landing on the lunar surface second is movement of Pragyan rover and third is to do research on the lunar surface.
Before elements detection by Pragyan rover, it detected temperature variation as the high of 70 degree was not expected, scientists said. ISRO researcher B.H.M. Darukesha communicated his bewilderment, “We as a whole accepted that the temperature could go from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius on a superficial level, however it really gauges a singing 70 degrees Celsius. This uniqueness is astoundingly higher than our underlying projections.”
